“It is an exciting time for the ICT Department as we are evaluating how we deliver ICT and what resources are best to do this.”

Our ultimate goal is to have the best and most useful facilities that can be used in many classrooms, and an ICT curriculum that is taught both independently and through integration into other class subjects.

New interactive whiteboards, laptops, software programmes and other computer technology are some of the tools we are looking at to deliver this user-friendly programme.

Students are introduced to computers from the Foundation Stage and learn basic computer skills throughout the Junior Department. By the end of Year 8 students are able to use word processing programmes, spreadsheets and presentation software (Microsoft Office) and can apply these skills to other curriculum areas.
