Music
From morning hymn singing and Choir at lunchtime to after school orchestras, there is something musical for every boy at Willington.

Music is a very important aspect of everyday life at Willington. We are well equipped with a large teaching room, a suite of practise rooms for peripatetic lessons and a theatre which acts as a recital room and concert venue. The facilities also include a music technology suite fitted with computers with the latest Sibelius software, allowing us to deliver the curriculum using ICT.
We have many music related trips and visiting musicians to school. These have included trips to the opera, music festivals, carol singing to the elderly and performances by The Bergonzi String Quartet, Steel Band, The RCM Wind Quintet and Scottish tenor Nicky Spence.
Approximately 60% of the boys at Willington take part in weekly musical activities and that is on the rise! Take a look at our music pages to see what we can offer your son.
