Scholarships

The Governors offer a number of scholarships each year for boys showing outstanding intellectual promise. These awards can continue throughout a boy’s Willington career to the end of Year 8, subject to a satisfactory annual review.

Scholarships are available from Year 3 upwards and are assessed internally after joining the school.

For successful candidates, the school offers scholarships up to a maximum value of 50% of the basic school fees.

Annual reviews of a scholar’s performance will be based on assessment grades, twice-yearly reports and the Head’s recommendation to Governors.

Bursaries

The school does offer a limited number of means-tested bursaries. These are available from Year 3 upwards.  Please contact the Bursar for a means-tested bursary application form.

Those seeking bursaries for their sons will need to demonstrate annually a genuine need for financial support.
