Week Ending 25th May

There have been many highlights this week, including a variety of trips and outings to places near and far, including Year 1 at Brooklands Museum, Year 5 at Pinot the Musical at the New Wimbledon Theatre, Year 1 at The Royal Festival Hall and the annual Year 2 trip to the Florence Nightingale Museum. All were hugely enjoyed and thank you to all the teachers involved in organising them. Cricket fixtures this week have largely included games against Rokeby and Banstead Prep.  There are also the eagerly contested Cricket House Matches taking place this afternoon at both Raynes Park and at Drax. The Year 3 Production of ‘Riding Hood’ was a joy (pictured)! All boys played their part and had the assembled audience in fits of giggles with their amusing take on the classic fairy tale. Thank you so much to everyone involved. I must also say a big well done to the ‘Hat Trick Heroes’, otherwise known as the Year 3 Dads for taking home (and looking after!) the Parents’ Football Trophy for a third consecutive year. The road to their title included a hard fought win on penalties against the Staff Team. Latest reports indicate the crucial missed penalty (I’ve forgotten who took it…) is currently heading North of Jupiter. Many thanks to all the teams that took part, the spectators and, of course, to POW for making it such a great evening. So, Half Term is upon us and, for our older boys, there is, of course, some revision to do, but please try to recharge the batteries as best you can to get ready for the exciting and somewhat hectic final half term of the year. BREAKING NEWS Many congratulations to Lancelot, who have just won the Cricket House Matches by four points.
