Academic

There is no specific type of child at Willington and nor do we teach in a prescribed, formulaic way.

A Willington pupil loves life and is supported by teaching staff that hold true to the school's motto non scholae sed vitae discimus - we do not learn for school, but for life.

We do not teach for the sake of passing tests, but to engender a love of learning and an academic curiosity and rigour in all our pupils.

We understand that each pupil may learn at a different pace, or in a different way to others.  Our exceptional results and success at 11+ are a testament to this approach.

“The quality of the pupils’ achievements and learning is excellent.”
