Curiosity is commended, conventions questioned and stretching boundaries applauded, so that boys develop the spirit of adventure and are unafraid to take calculated risks.  From intellectual debate in lessons to pulling together as a team on an outward bound trip, our boys develop resilience and confidence in their decision-making abilities. This independence of spirit, along with a sense of community and a responsibility for others, is part of the fabric of the school, exemplified by eminent old boys including renowned Polar explorer Captain Lawrence Oates.
