The Humanities Departments at Willington: History, Geography and Religious Studies, believe in using a combination of traditional teaching methods and the latest technologies to foster the boys’ interests in the events, beliefs and societies of people in the past and present.

Lessons are often discussion or enquiry based and boys are encouraged to think and question what they are taught and to present their ideas in a variety of ways. In a world where tolerance is not always what it should be, the Humanities help us to develop an understanding of other people’s values, faiths and lifestyles and to understand the world in which we live.
