Joining us at 11+

A small number of places are available for boys wishing to join Willington at 11+ in order to study for Common Entrance.

Years 7 and 8 are a unique programme of teaching, with small class sizes and boys individually guided to meet the needs of their specific Senior School.  Boys blossom during these two years and many are made Prefects or Captains of Sport and flourish with additional responsibility.  As the academic pressure increases, the boys feel secure in our Prep School environment where their abilities and personalities are well-known and understood. The study and exam skills learned, and the revision required, for Common Entrance are the perfect training ground for GCSEs just a couple of years later.

To apply for Year 7 entry, please complete and return the Online Registration Form and forward your son's latest school report.  After Registering with us, your son will come to the School for a Taster Day during the Spring Term* of Year 6.  Prior to your son attending the Taster Day we will write to your son's current school for an up-to-date pupil reference.

During the Taster Day your son will join the lessons of one of our Year 6 classes and he will sit an assessment in both Maths and English.  The results from this Taster Day, feedback from the teachers and your son’s latest school report, will enable us to make an informed decision on his eligibility to join Willington.

For more information please call Lucy Walton, Head of Admissions, on 020 8971 0452 or email:  Bursary support may also be available - please for further details.
