The study of another language encourages cultural appreciation and opens up new opportunities for learning and engagement with the world beyond school.  As a School in London, where a multi-national population is a welcome part of school life, we believe that studying languages encourages an international outlook that can only benefit Willington boys.

From Reception, pupils commence the study of French, which continues throughout the school, culminating in their Common Entrance examinations.  From Year 4, the boys also start studying Latin, empowering them to access the great works of the ancient world and giving an excellent grounding for those who may one day pursue careers in law, medicine and the sciences, where Latin terminology still proliferates.
