I am delighted to announce that Willington will be holding a Music Camp during the October half-term break from Sunday 25th to Thursday 29th October 2020. Pupils who are current members of Orchestra and Hawk Choir (or who intend to join these ensembles from Summer or Autumn Term 2020) will be given priority for places, although any Willington pupil who sings or plays an instrument is welcome to apply. As numbers are strictly limited, priority will also be given to those who have applied early should the camp be oversubscribed. Our venue in Jersey is Chateau Vermont, home of the Jersey Academy of Music (JAM). Mornings will consist of a variety of musical activities and training from the JAM staff and each afternoon will provide either an adventure or concert opportunity. Willington staff will supervise the children at all times alongside professional musicians from the JAM and activity providers. The cost for 5-days/4-nights including all travel, accommodation, music tuition, meals and activities will be around £380 - £400 per person, although final costs will depend on numbers. At this stage of the planning process, please could you indicate whether your child is interested in attending by clicking here to complete a brief form (by the deadline date of Friday 6th March). This will not mean he is obliged to commit to the event at this stage but will help us gauge the amount of interest from the school community. Those who have expressed interest (and meet priority criteria in the event of oversubscription) will then receive an invitation to complete their application and pay a deposit to secure their place.Kristen Callaway, Director of MusicE: email@example.com
