ISI Inspection Reports

Following our Independent Schools Inspectorate inspection in February 2026, we are delighted that Willington met all the required standards across every area of school life. This reflects the strength of our provision, from leadership and teaching to wellbeing and safeguarding.

Inspectors described Willington as a “purposeful community in which pupils are known well as individuals”, recognising our strong values of kindness, respect, humility and honesty. Pupils were noted to be confident, engaged and increasingly independent, making good progress and preparing well for the transition to senior school.

The report highlights our broad and ambitious curriculum, the quality of teaching, and the extensive range of co-curricular opportunities that support children’s confidence, teamwork and independence. Pastoral care and wellbeing are central, with inspectors recognising the strength of our systems and the importance we place on every child’s mental and emotional development.

Safeguarding was judged to be effective, with a strong culture of vigilance across the school.

Overall, the report reflects a school that knows its children well, supports them with care and ambition, and prepares them confidently for the next stage of their education.
