Creativity ABounds at Willington

Pupils showcase their talents as we celebrate a busy and successful term

With Arts Festival continuing into the new week and the highly-anticipated House Music Festival ending the term, we reflect on our last full week of academic, creative and co-curricular activities.

Congratulations to all those involved in the Year 4 production - The Wizard of Oz.  As one parent remarked "I just wanted to say how amazing I thought the show was this morning. The children have all developed their stage presence and performing skills so much since the last time we saw them. It was brilliant!"

Another particular highlight has been the Spring Concert, a fabulous opportunity for every year group choir from Reception to Year 6 to perform.  Spring term sees all pupils in Years 2, 3 and 5 learning the recorder, violin and ukulele respectively as part of their musical curriculum. The concert is a wonderful opportunity to showcase their new skills. Music is for everyone at Willington, all you need is enthusiasm!

Our Arts Festival launched on Friday with trips to the V&A, and clay and painting workshops back at school. All the children from Nursery to Year 6 are making the most of these exciting creative opportunities and finding many hidden talents.
