A Dynamic Start to the Summer Term

From Barcelona to Hands-On Discovery, Pupils Return with Energy & Purpose

The Summer Term has begun with real momentum across the school, with pupils quickly immersed in both new learning and memorable experiences.

Over the Easter break, a number of children enjoyed the Barcelona cultural trip, where they explored the city’s architecture, including the iconic Sagrada Família, alongside visits to local markets and opportunities to practise their Spanish in everyday settings. The trip offered a valuable blend of cultural insight and growing independence, and thanks go to the staff for giving up their Easter break to accompany the pupils.

In school, our youngest pupils have been enjoying their outdoor learning theme, Curious Creatures – Life in our Forest. Nursery and Reception children have been busy searching for minibeasts, creating simple habitats and asking thoughtful questions about the natural world.

Elsewhere, pupils have returned to the classroom with focus and enthusiasm. Highlights include collaborative challenges in the LEGO Room, creative work in art, and a strong start to music rehearsals and sporting activities for the term ahead.

Across all year groups, there is a clear sense of purpose and enjoyment as pupils embrace both the academic and wider opportunities that define the start of the Summer Term.
