Holiday Enrichment by Après School
Willington's Holiday Enrichment is not your typical holiday camp. Run by Willington's OSTED-registered after school provider, Après School, it's a thoughtfully organised provision with themed activities, designed to provide enriching experiences for your children during every school holiday*. This seamless transition from the school day to the holiday will be available for children in Nursery through Year 2, from 8.30am to 5.00pm from a daily cost of £58.50 per child, demonstrating outstanding value for money.

We have intentionally focused our Holiday Enrichment on the younger years as we understand that finding high-quality, engaging and age-appropriate provision for these year groups can be particularly challenging.

Who oversees the Holiday Enrichment?
Après-School, our OFSTED-registered after school provider lead the holiday enrichment. Their team is already well-acquainted with many of our pupils through their involvement in the after-school club. The staff's prior knowledge of the children's personalities, interests, and individual needs enables them to tailor activities and interactions more effectively. This continuity of care not only enhances the overall enrichment experience for the children but also provides parents with the peace of mind that their children are in the hands of professionals who truly understand and care for their individual needs.
What age groups is the Holiday Enrichment provision designed for?
The offering is catered specifically for Willington children in Nursery to Year 2.
When does the Holiday Enrichment run?
Our holiday enrichment provision is available throughout all school holidays, except for the period between Christmas and New Year and on occasional INSET days, with these exceptions clearly marked on the booking calendar to assist parents in planning accordingly. Each day runs from 8.30am to 5.00pm.
My child has a sibling in another nursery/school, can they attend?
Unfortunately the Holiday Enrichment is only available to existing Willington pupils.
THE PROVISION
What activities will be offered?
A range of activities such as arts and crafts, sport, music, storytelling, and age-appropriate educational games, all designed to promote learning and fun.
What meals and snacks are provided?
Healthy snacks and water will be provided in the morning and afternoon. Children will need to bring their own packed lunch. In line with the school, Après School has a no nuts policy.
How do you deal with specific dietary needs or allergies?
Après School uses an Ofsted approved booking system that captures all required dietary and allergy information when you book your child into after school care or holiday enrichment. Parents are able to update this information from within their accounts and alert the Après School team of any changes.
What is the staff to child ratio?
For Nursery children it is important that a ratio of 1:8 be maintained. For children older than this the ratio will vary between 1:8 and 1:12.
Which rooms do you use?
The holiday enrichment will be based in the Reception classrooms where children will be able to free flow between inside and outside in the enclosed areas. Outdoor play and sport will take place on the Astro playground.

Fees, Childcare Vouchers & Spreading the Cost
What is the cost?
To ensure our provision is both affordable and sustainable, we have developed a fee structure that allows parents the flexibility to book ad-hoc sessions and also make significant savings when booking for a week or more. Additionally, these savings can be combined with a sibling discount of 10%. The cost for a week is £58.50 per day, while ad-hoc bookings are £65 per day.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes this is 10% and this can be combined with our weekly discount to make our provision even more affordable.
My child is in the nursery - can I use the 15-hour Nursery education grant?
We can accept all forms of childcare vouchers and tax free childcare. Just search for us on the government childcare portal or contact us for more information. More information.
Can I use childcare vouchers?
Yes. We are registered with most childcare voucher providers. If your voucher is not on our list then please contact us and we will ensure we register with them as soon as possible. Here is a list of the vouchers we accept currently.
Can I pay monthly?
We offer a wide range of payment plans and options. Monthly payments are a great way of spreading the cost.
My child is ill on the day, do I get a refund?
Illness happens from time to time. You can cancel and change your bookings at any time from within your account. Just make sure you do this 24 hours or more before a session in order to have credit applied to your account.
