Years 3&4 Residential Trip

Our Two-Night Adventure at Croft Farm Water Park

Written by Vasil, Heather, Tom & Sophia - Year 4 Pupils

Monday - around lunch time we finally arrived at Croft Farm water park after the 3 hour journey. We first ate our lunch, found out who we were in a tent with, set out our stuff in our tent and set off. At the lake we did our first activity, raft building! First the instructors taught us how to do a mountain knot. Next we used this skill to attach empty barrels together for the base then we did the same with logs and got on the water. Then we did a triathlon. In the evening we had our dinner, had some chill time and finally went to sleep.

Tuesday - we woke up to a rainy day. We started with paddle boarding on a big paddle board in groups of eight. Then we did some kayaking and also some canoeing. Then the sun came up and we went out on pedalos. We got to race and jump off of them into the lake. Afterwards, we had a nice, pleasant dinner. We finished our evening by having our own Willington’s Got Talent, talent show!

Wednesday - today we did a sport called Katacanoeing. We raced along the river,  then joined up into a snake of boats which beat the Croft farm record length of eight boats. We did nine boats successfully. Then we had our yummy sandwiches for lunch filled with tuna, ham or cheese with crisps and a wonderful caramel chocolate bar. Then we departed Croft Farm water park and headed back to school (we all had a delightful sleep on board)!
