We were delighted to support the Wimbledon Guild once more with our Harvest Festival collection.  In our Prep and Pre-Prep assemblies the children learned about the significance of Harvest Festival and enjoyed a talk from Mrs Robinson at the Wimbledon Guild, explaining how their donations would be used. A huge thank you to the Willington parents for their very generous donations. 

Wimbledon Guild - Befriending Programme

Over the past 2 years, more and more older people have been unable to leave their home and many have stayed in so long that they have lost the ability to get out of the house at all, whether through loss of function (deterioration of muscle tone and balance through not getting out) or the psychological impact of the pandemic (fear of the virus, but also of going outside in general).  The Guild is working to address both these difficulties, but where getting out is no longer possible, and when family is far away or simply not there, they have wonderful volunteer befrienders who will go and visit, make phone calls or even take their client on a little outing.  https://www.wimbledonguild.co.uk/how-we-help/befriending
