YEAR 4 RESIDENTIAL TRIP

Raft Building, Caving and Toasted Marshmallows!

The second week of term saw our new Year 4 boys departing for their residential trip to Sayers Croft, near Cranleigh.

While temperatures soared to the highest recorded level in years, the boys made the most of the fun activities involving fresh air and exercise.  Challenges such as raft building, orienteering, archery and caving all help the boys improve their teamwork, communication and organisational skills.  Toasting marshmallows over an open fire, guiding each other through mazes and building survival huts all provide a great bonding experience for the boys.  For many, this was their first time away from home without their parents, but they all made the very most of the opportunity to try something new.  Our past visitors to Sayers Croft look back on this trip as one of the highlights of joining the Senior School and one of their fondest memories of their time at Willington.
