Mindfulness Classes

We are very excited to be introducing Mindfulness to our PSHE Curriculum for Year 6 in the Spring Term 2017.    Boys will be led by Mrs Joshi, Head of Science, through a ten week course on Thursday mornings in place of Hymn Practice.  Mrs Joshi, our Science Teacher, is a bio-medical scientist, who is also a qualified and experienced yoga teacher and Mindfulness practitioner. She has recently attended the .b course in Mindful Meditation for young people. This programme sets out the ten lessons and it has been very well received in schools.  

We trust that, by offering Mindfulness to Year 6 at this time, it will give the boys some strategies and personal resources to draw on in times of anxiety, as well as bring them together as a year group in what can be a stressful pre-test term.
